De 2027 eGT3 World Endurance Challenge (WEC) series van 2 uur tot 24 uur trekt de deelname van professionele raceteams en fabrikanten, het creëren van een hoog competitieniveau op het circuit en het laten zien van geavanceerde engineering en racestrategieën in de autosport, met de nadruk op elektrische sportauto's en hybride sportauto's racen. Als professioneel georiënteerde serie streeft het 2027 eGT3 WEC ernaar om een platform te creëren dat zowel inclusief als zeer competitief is, zodat fabrikanten de kans krijgen om de prestaties te demonstreren en de elektrische en hybride technologie in high-performance endurance e-races onder de aandacht te brengen.
