EVWRA’s 2027 World Endurance Challenge (WEC) racing series is designed to test and push the endurance limits of EV and hybrid battery technology in a real-world speed and endurance challenge. The series features WSC purpose-built sportscars that are specifically designed for races that last between 6 to 24 hours, making it a rigorous and demanding test of the vehicles’ battery and charging capabilities.

The 2027 WEC provides a platform for EV and hybrid automotive sportscar manufacturers to test and refine their battery technology in a highly competitive and challenging environment. The focus on testing advanced battery technology and car designs with performance and safety in mind is critical to the advancement of EV and hybrid battery technology.
By pushing the endurance limits of what is currently possible, the WEC helps to drive innovation and progress in the industry.
